Updated: 7 days ago

Setting the Scene

Today, we have the pleasure of interviewing Sophie Scheuner, a remarkable scientist whose passion for wine is as profound as her dedication to her research. With a background enriched by her aunt, an esteemed oenologist and cave owner, Sophie’s journey into the world of wine began at a young age. This familial connection not only sparked her interest in viticulture but also instilled in her a deep appreciation for the art and science behind winemaking.

Sophie’s Passion for Wine

Sophie’s love for wine transcends mere enjoyment; it is intertwined with her experiences and travels around the globe. Each bottle tells a story and, for Sophie, these stories are often linked to cherished memories. One of her favorite wines is Rozoy Picot, which holds a special place in her heart due to its unique flavor profile and the memories it evokes.

Personal Connections

In addition to her professional achievements, Sophie’s personal life has been shaped by significant relationships that further enhance her appreciation for sparkling wines. Notably, champagne and sparkling wine remind her of Antoine, her beloved boyfriend. Their shared moments over glasses of bubbly have created lasting memories that blend joy with nostalgia.

Conclusion

The interview

Can you share with us memories of your life related to wine or alcohol?

It’s something very precious in our family.  As my aunt is an oenologist and they had a wine cave with her husband. My grandparents built a cave with good French red wine. I can say wine has been a part of my life for more than two decades. Got serious background with wines, trips degustation & tasting. And I love it, as I’m a gastronomy lover, I use to eat in the best restaurants.

How did the drink enhance that’s experience for you?

It can enhance your body, your mind, your feelings and your social times. So many things.

What’s your favorite wine?

So many different types. It’s very difficult to say: every category has its best.

Can you tell us a little bit more about “ROZOY PICOT” TERPSCHAMP ?

ROZOY PICOT is out of the blue. Sparkling wines & champagnes are so pure, you can’t imagine to add a flavor inside. It’s a unique experience. The idea to mix cannabis TERPENES and great quality of champagne is something amazing. Very innovative. This intense smell gives me a lot of good memories. Mix of two things I’m sensitive to. It’s wonderful.

In which events do you recommend to use ROZOY PICOT?

For my 40th birthday. It’s the only product I want absolutely to be here. I want to share this unique experience with the people I love because they deserve it.

What’s your first drink with your boyfriend and tell me about your feelings during this one?

It was champagne, and it warmed my heart and more than that. I felt totally excited about this first drink. Love the attention and refinement of this gentleman.

How can you project yourself 10 years from now?

It’ll be my 50 years, so I’ll celebrate a bit more. Surrounded by my lovely family and my husband enjoying wines. Love and wine will continue to be with me for decades to come.

How can you describe your experience with ROZOY PICOT?

It’s unique. I got several trials in my life but never something like that. From the first touch of the bottle to the first sip. A luxury experience to enhance your taste.

Sophie’s Quotes (inspired by Churchill and Darwin)

“To each, there comes in their lifetime a special moment when they are figuratively tapped on the shoulder and offered the chance to do a very special thing, unique to them and fitted to their talents. What a tragedy if that moment finds them unprepared or unqualified for that which could have been their finest hour.”

“Stars are guiding lights in times of darkness.”

“It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.”

“Success is not final; failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.”

“In every walk with nature, one receives far more than he seeks.”
